“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.”
Nora Schneider Interior Design (NSID) is a residential design firm based in Chicago. Through collaborations that combine the spirit of each client with the essence of their spaces, NSID creates uniquely distinct experiences.
“The details are not the details. They make the design.”
Taking delight in the pursuit of the unique and believing that the journey is as great as the destination, Nora relies on her instincts, experience and education to provide trusted counsel to clients in the pursuit of their wants and needs.
Traipsing from estate sales to antique stores at a young age with her mother; Nora developed a passion for the distinctive. This quest for the lovely, a driving sense of creativity and the desire to reimagine the ordinary fueled Nora to attain an Interior Design degree at the Harrington School of Design after a 20-‐year career in corporate management.
“It’s not what you look at that matters. It’s what you see.”
Nora works efficiently to produce exquisite design solutions. NSID specializes in the juxtaposition of ancient and modern influences, which result in a layered approach that ultimately reflects the lives and loves of those who inhabit each space.
“We start with something you love.”
NSID has honed a spirit of partnership through personal relationships with trusted architects and contractors. Nora combines an exacting attention to detail with collective discussions to create interiors as diverse as their occupants.
“She’s a dreamer, a doer, a thinker. She sees possibility everywhere.”
“You only need a few beautiful things.”
Nora’s pursuit of the extraordinary and chic is not limited to interiors. Believing that fashion and interiors often walk hand in hand, Nora expanded her services to include wardrobe styling and personal shopping.
Nora lives in Chicago in a converted industrial loft. She’s an avid lover of entertaining and her home is often filled with friends and family gathered around the dining table. She’s devoted to her extreme wanderlust and is always thinking about her next adventure to some far flung spot.
“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.”
